Walter Lewis Psencik, 83 years young, from Austin , Texas went to join our Lord on December 28, 2021. Walter was born on November 24, 1938 to Victor and Victoria Psencik in Smithville, Texas.
After Walter graduated from Smithville High School in 1957, he went on to earn his associates degree at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas and then his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Walter also proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged April 30, 1965.
Walter worked at the Austin Community College and after retiring from A.C.C. he went on to work at Cabela’s. He really enjoyed his time there.
Walter is survived by his three children; Walter Psencik, Jr. and his wife Samantha, Angelia Fitzgerald and her husband Randall, Stephanie Michell Bage and Lance Langehennig; five grandchildren, Shaylynne Rouebush, Kyleigh Psencik, Ethan Psencik, Chesney Fitzgerald, Ryan Langehennig; and three great-grandchildren, Presley Slade, Cade and Cohen Roudebush.
The love that Walter had for his kids was like no other. They shared an unbreakable bond. He was a wonderful dad. He was selfless and always put his children first. He loved hanging out at the farm, the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and a cold beer every now and again.
He will be missed more than words can express and he will forever be in our hearts.
Visitation will begin at 5:00pm and the rosary at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home. The funeral home is located at 110 American Legion Road in Smithville, Texas. The funeral mass will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kovar with the burial following at the Kovar Catholic Cemetery.
