Tracy Allen Seaton

December 28, 1957 ~ October 26, 2021 (age 63)

Tracy Allen Seaton was born on December 28, 1957 in Scranton, Iowa. He made his home in Texas where he worked for the University of Texas, retiring after forty years of being a part of the Longhorn family.

After meeting Cheryl in 1982, he realized that was the woman he wanted to do laundry with for the rest of his days. They married in 1983 and raised three wonderful children together.

Tracy enjoyed life to the fullest, but above all he loved spending time with his family. They often attended college football games and went to the State Fair together. Rarely did they get together and not engage in an all-out war of Garbage. Most would argue he cheated his way to the top of the leaderboard, but he would counter with a wily smile and tell them they just weren’t as smart as he was.

He thoroughly enjoyed swimming and being outdoors, but if there was one sport he was passionate about, it was baseball. He coached many kids throughout the years. While some saw him as Coach, his kids knew him as Friend and mentor. To Tracy, coaching baseball was more than teaching the sport, it was instilling discipline, respect, and loyalty.

Tracy wore many hats in his days, but his most important role on this earth was as servant. He faithfully served the Lord, attending First Christian Church in Smithville, spreading the Word of the Lord. There is no doubt Tracy has been brought up to sit next to his Father in Heaven, alongside his best dog, Betsy.

Anyone who was blessed to know Tracy knew him as a big jokester, making everybody laugh and putting smiles on faces all around him. His laughter was contagious, his love unconditional. Being in his presence meant being in the presence of greatness, but even more special, being in the presence of your friend.

Tracy left this earth on October 26, 2021 at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Rosetta Seaton. He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Miles); three children, Jada Roe Seaton (Matt Prevatt), Heath Allen (Victoria) Seaton, and Haley Seaton Pearcy; five grandchildren, Heath Allen Seaton II, Bayleigh Brooke Seaton, Emileigh Paige Seaton, Brantley Joe Pearcy, Alice Adele Pearcy; siblings Sherry Keeton (Tom), Robert Seaton (Libby), David Seaton (Janet), Jerry Seaton (Terry), Bill Seaton (Gloria); many loving nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins; and his canine friends, Sadie, Elsa, Olaf, and George.
