Tommie Ann Rains

Tommie Ann Salas Rains, 65, of Smithville, Texas, died  Thursday the 23rd of January 2020, in Round Rock, Texas from her hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born October 6, 1954 in El Campo, Texas to Lucas Salas Sr. and Barbara Garcia Salas but grew up in Smithville, Texas where she graduated from Smithville High School in 1973. She was a devoted and beloved mother and grandmother who loved to cook, bake, sew, watch her grandchildren grow, who had the best heart and wanted the best for everyone she met.

Tommie Ann was preceded in death by her Father, Lucas Salas, Sr; Mother, Barbara Salas and her Brother, John Salas.

She is survived by her daughter Brandi Jalbert and husband Mark, daughter Amanda Rains and companion Sapan, grandchildren Lilly Lara, Adam Jalbert, and Asher Jalbert, her brother Lucas Salas, Jr. and wife Mary Jane, her ‘sister’ Maria Rodriguez, two uncles Tony Salas and Nat Salas, three nieces Olivia Salas, Laura Garza, and Leanne Salas, one nephew Stephen Salas, and her sweet support dog Archie who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 7pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas. Funeral and Mass will be held at 2pm on Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Smithville, Texas.

Private urn ceremony to be held at a date in the future.
