Mary Lou Scoggins

Mary Lou was born in Henderson, Texas to Lola Evelyn (Gary) and James
Clifton Cooper.  She graduated from Pasadena  High School. She married
Roy Jones and they had a daughter, Kay Ann Jones.

Following her divorce, she met Kenneth Scoggins. They got married in
1971 and were married for 51 years. She was a hairstylist, loved art,
and later became a professional artist. Being an only child, she loved
Kenneth’s large family and enjoyed all the family gatherings.

Mary Lou passed away on June 1, 2022 in the hospital in La Grange,
Texas with her husband and nephew by her side.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary Lou Scoggins will be held at 11:00am on Saturday,

August 20, 2022 at the First Baptist Church.  The church is located at 300 Hudgins Street in Smithville, Texas.
