Margie Brewer Stall

Margie Brewer Stall passed away on January 9, 2023 at the age of 89.

Margie was born and raised in the Smithville/La Grange area where she lived until she fell in love and married Milburn Stall. After marrying they moved to Austin, TX where they lived for over 50 years before she and Milburn moved back to Smithville, TX.  They were married for 72 years and raised 2 daughters.

Margie was the middle child out of eleven born to her parents.  She was very family oriented and loved all her brothers, sisters, daughters, and extended family deeply.  Being a full-time housewife and wonderful cook, she always opened their home to many family members over the years. She never turned anyone away as she was always eager to help, please and protect them all.

Margie was preceded in death recently by her husband Milburn on December 11, 2022.    In addition, she was preceded in death by her parents Wesley Brewer and Ida Bunte Brewer; her brothers Wallace Brewer, Lynn Brewer, Gene Brewer and Billy Brewer and her sisters Evelyn Campbell, Dorothy Patton and Della Wisneski, as well as her beloved grandsons Todd Waggoner and Steven Lovelace, plus her son-in-law Wesley Garratt.

She is survived by her daughters Rita Waggoner-Kalina (Johnie) and Sue Garratt; grand daughter Tina Waggoner; 3 great grand daughters, 7 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild.  She is also survived by her sisters Faye Aaron and Linda Hollis; brother Harold Brewer, plus many extended family members.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation at 11:00am  and the service will begin at 11:30 am at Marrs Jones Funeral Home with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas.
