Earl Ruscher

August 11, 1932 ~ February 23, 2022 (age 89)


Earl Edward Ruscher entered the arms of the Lord on February 23, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born August 11, 1932 in LaGrange, Texas to Cora and Herman Ruscher.

Earl married Ida May Machen June16, 1956 in Smithville, Texas.  They had one son, Richard Earl; and two daughters, Cynthia Marie and Loretta Ann.

Earl proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cynthia Marie La Garce; brother, Herman Ruscher, Jr.; and sister, Minnie Ruscher.

Earl is survived by his wife, Ida May Ruscher; son, Richard Earl Ruscher and his wife Angie; daughter, Loretta Ann Smith and her husband Billy; sister, Loyce Judd; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Amanda, Travis, Edward, Paige, Billy Wayne, Melissa; twenty six great grandchildren, Abrah, Taos, Tayten, Pember, baby Ruscher, Marshall, Maria Elena, Armando, Aldo, Penelope, Taylor, Jolie, Hannah, Madilynn, Carly, Paisley, Autumn, Katelyn, Hailey, Billy, Chase, Natalie, Draven, David, Haylee and Isaiah.

Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Smithville, Texas. 

The visitation will begin at 10:00am and the funeral service will begin at 11:00am with burial following at Young School House Cemetery in Smithville, Texas.
