Christine J. (Dornak) Sabrsula of Smithville passed away on Friday July 8th, 2022 peacefully in her sleep.
Christine was born in Kirtley, Texas on Mary 31, 1931. She was the daughter of Mathilda (Miller) Dornak and Louis P. Dornak.
Christine graduated in May of 1950 from Smithville High School and then married the love of her life, John Charles (Jack) Sabrsula in October of 1950 in Plum, Texas. They were married for 67 years until his death in 2017.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put her family first. Christine was a deeply religious woman who dedicated her life to God and the Catholic Church. She taught Catechism classes from 1987 through1996 and was a long time member of the St. Paul Catholic Church Altar Society. Christine had several jobs over the years, one of which was a teachers aid from 2008-2013. She was an avid gardener, an excellent cook and seamstress among other talents.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Hrna (Daniel), Carolyn McMillan (R.C.), son, Johnny Sabrsula (Wendy Boyd), sister Delphine Rohan.
Grandchildren: Misty Lee (Brent), Wendy Denbow (David), Ryan Hanzelka (Lenka), Dori Honohan (Mike), Allison Sabrsula, Allisia Redus (Ricky). Adam, Sabrsula (Allison Gray). Step grandchildren: Anna Smith (John), Daniel Hrna and Brian Hrna (Melody Kentshire).
Seven Great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Vistiation and Rosary will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home. The visitation will start at 5:00pm and the rosary will start at 6:00pm. The funeral home is located at 110 American Legion Road in Smithville, Texas.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Smithville with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas.
