Walker Allan Hancock, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the age of 76. Allan was born and raised in Smithville, Texas.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Ione and Jack E. Hancock, Sr.; brother, Jack E Hancock, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Hancock Knight; sisters, Linda Elmore, Grace Helton, and Cindy McKelroy; grandchildren, Scarlett and Corbin Knight.
Allan was a simple man never letting things phase him, he was a community man, and loved ranching. He enjoyed sitting and sharing stories with anyone who would listen to him. He helped when he could to anyone that needed a helping hand. Allan was deeply loved and will be greatly missed in this world.
The family will receive friends at the visitation from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, March 24, 2022, in the chapel of Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church in Smithville, followed by interment at the Hancock Cemetery in Upton, Texas. There will also be a gathering held with lunch at the VFW Post 1309, 557 NW Loop #230, Smithville, TX.
