Susan Renae Lastovica Stroescu was born on August 27th, 1969, in Bastrop, Texas, and lost her battle to leukemia on December 21, 2021.
Susan was born to David and Beverly Lastovica of Smithville, Texas and was the middle child to two brothers, Davy Lastovica and Danny Lastovica. She was raised in Smithville and graduated with the “Fun Bunch” class of 1987. Susan went on to have two children, her son, Dylan Meek of Austin, Texas and daughter, Gabrielle “G” Stroescu of Littleton, Colorado. At the time of her death, Susan was living in Colorado with her husband, Adrian, and their daughter, Gabrielle.
Susan loved her family, her friends, National Parks, Texas, and animals. Susan, Adrian, and G spent many a road trips traveling to the National Parks and enjoying the natural beauty of Colorado. When she wasn’t traveling or visiting with friends, she could be found at home on the couch surrounded by, and loving on, her pets, Kiki, Nahla and Gabby. Susan was loved by many. She was a strong-willed, caring person that took the time to stay connected with the ones she loved. Even though our lives will not be the same without Susan in them, Susan celebrated life so we must celebrate hers because a life remembered lives on. May you rest in peace, dear friend, mother, daughter, wife, and sister.
She is preceded in death by her oldest brother, Davy.
