Shirley June (Hancock) Cameron, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world on July 1st, 2025, in Smithville, Texas. She was 75. She was born January 10th, 1950, in Smithville, Texas, to Harry and Alyne Hancock.
Shirley Cameron lived a whole and vibrant life, dedicating her years to family and friends. She was known for her unwavering compassion and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether it was for volunteering, organizing community events, or simply lending a listening ear, she made a significant impact on the lives of many. Her warm smile, loving heart, and high spirit brightened the days of everyone she encountered.
Shirley is survived by her son, Russell Kellar, and his wife, Donna; her son, George Cameron, and his wife, Candice; her grandson, Brazos Kellar; and her step-grandsons, Jared Daniels and Caleb Daniels, and step-granddaughter, Kaleigh Daniels. Also surviving is her sister Barbara Puyear.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bubba” Cameron, and her parents, Harry and Alyne Hancock.
Shirley will be deeply missed by all those she left behind, and her loss breaks our hearts. She was one of a kind, and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
