Rilene Hubbard

Livia “Rilene” Hubbard, 78, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026. Rilene was born in Rotan Texas on June 4, 1947 to Troy and Empress Adams, as the first of three daughters. The family later moved to Kermit, Texas where Rilene attended school and graduated from the local high school in 1965. Rilene attended Odessa College. She worked for many years for Winkler County Tax Assessor’s Office. She was active in her community and proud to serve as the president of the Kermit Business & Professional Women’s Club.

In 1990, Rilene married the love of her life, Tobe Hubbard and moved to Bastrop County. This marriage included the bonus addition of two adult sons, John and Jad, along with their growing families over time.

Rilene joined the Texas Department of Transportation in Austin, serving for many years before retiring in 2008.

Rilene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tobe; her parents, Troy and Empress Adams; and sister, Judene Willhelm. Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, John Hubbard and wife Julie, Jad Hubbard and wife Deanna; sister Carol Ann Hagood and her friend Holly Reynolds; sister and brother-in-law Gayl and Rod Taylor; grandchildren, Jackson Hubbard, Jett Hubbard, Jaci Hubbard, Kailee Bozeman and husband Ben, Lainie Hubbard, Kinnley Hubbard; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Graveside services will be at 10:00am on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Rochelle Cemetery in Rochelle, Texas.
