Paula Ortiz Trigo
April 19, 1934 – May 20, 2026

Paula Ortiz Trigo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, and friend, was born in Nopal, Texas on April 19, 1934, to Concepcion Sistos Ortiz and Francisco Ortiz. She was welcomed into eternal rest preceded by her parents and all her siblings, reunited once again with those she loved so dearly.

On August 7, 1965, Paula married the love of her life, Tomas Trigo Sr., in Nixon, Texas. Their marriage of 60 beautiful years was a testament to unwavering devotion, partnership, and faith. Together they built a strong, loving family that remains her greatest legacy.
Paula is survived by her five children, and a bonus son who were the pride of her heart:

Alex Segura Jr. (Belda)
Joe Frank Trigo (Erik Delgado)
Donna Trigo Garza (Robert)
Brenda Trigo Aguirre (Florencio)
Thomas Trigo Jr.
Peggy Trigo Escobedo (Demetrius)

She was a cherished grandmother to:
Alysha DeLeon Sanchez (Daniel), Staci DeLeon-Davis (Jason), Brianna DeLeon, Jaime Olvera, Errik Thomas Trigo, and Caleb Trigo Escobedo.
Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her nine great‑grandchildren:
Mareli, Dominic, Gabriel, Isael, Joaquin, Melody, Marcela, Milagros, and Enrique.

Paula lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love. She was a prayer warrior, a compassionate caregiver, and an avid crafter whose hands were always busy creating something beautiful. She found joy in hosting family gatherings, cooking and baking for those she loved, sewing with care, and tending to her garden. Her home was a place of warmth, nourishment, and welcome.

Family was the center of Paula’s world. She stayed closely connected to her extended family, faithfully making weekly or monthly calls to her cousins in Oregon, as well as to countless nieces, nephews, and friends. Her voice, her laughter, and her thoughtful check‑ins will be deeply missed.
Paula was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where she served wholeheartedly as a lay minister, a member of the Altar Society, Secretary for the Legion of Mary, and a dedicated member of the bereavement committee. Her faith guided her life, and her service touched many hearts.

The Trigo family extends their heartfelt gratitude to:
Fr. Bernard and the St. Paul’s Homebound Ministry, Towers Nursing Home, and the JOL Hospice staff—Nurses Terika, Kevin, Patty and Asheley; CNAs Alexa and Mikayla; Pastor Jeff; and Case Manager Sara—for their compassion, care, and support during Paula’s final journey.
Paula’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a legacy that will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind.
May she rest in eternal peace.

Serving as pallbearers are:
