Patricia Gayle Lowe was born October 18, 1946, to Margaret Sulzby, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on December 21, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by loved ones both near and far.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Sulzby and brother, Jerry Sulzby. She is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Kimberly Lee; son, Michael (Corina) Nuby; grandchildren, Courtney (Ace) Fierro; Peyton Nuby, Christian Johnson, Brandon Johnson, and Ian Johnson; great grandchildren, Zane Fierro, and Brynlee Fierro; her sisters, Elizabeth Yarbrough, Mary Jo (Ron) Murphy; brother, Phillip Sulzby; Stephanie Nuby, and many nieces and nephews. She had a very special relationship with each one of them.
Gayle grew up in Alabama. Upon marrying, she moved to Texas where she spent her career working in the insurance industry. She truly kept everyone entertained in every room she entered. She was known for her quick wit, lively personality, and unforgettable sense of humor. Even in our grief, she continues to keep us laughing with the countless stories and memories she left behind. The love she had for the Lord, her family, and her friends was well known to all who knew her.
Gayle’s absolute favorite title was Mimi. Once she became a Mimi that is how she introduced herself to everyone she met. She adored her grandchildren.
Her strength and determination were evident throughout her life. While her family was always her greatest accomplishment, she was also very proud of her sobriety. She celebrated more than 20 years of sobriety - a reflection of her resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to those she loved.
Gayle will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 6th at 10:30 AM at Marrs-Jones funeral Home in Smithville, TX. Services are under the direction of Brother Michael Murphy.
