Narlen Tompkins

Narlen Lloyd Tompkins, 55, of Smithville, Texas, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Smithville.

Narlen was born on June 21, 1970, in Channelview, Texas. He spent most of his life in Smithville, a place he proudly called home and where he built his life, family, and lasting connections.

Narlen is survived by his loving mother, Laverne Cooper; his wife, Elizabeth Raley; his children, Ryan Randle, Narlen Leon Tompkins, and Bailey Lynn Tompkins; his grandson, Oliver Randle; and his stepchildren, Bradley Raley, Colton Raley, and Colin Raley. He is also survived by his brothers, Larry Tompkins and Andrew Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Tompkins, and his brother, Leon Tompkins.

Narlen will be remembered for his presence, his role as a father, grandfather, and husband, and the impact he had on those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who loved him.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm onFriday, February 6, 2026 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The funeral home is located at 110 American Legion Road in Smithville, Texas.
