Marybeth Claiborne, born on April 17, 1934, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2023, at The Towers Nursing Home in Smithville, Texas. She was a loving mother, cherished friend, and an exceptional individual who touched the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Marybeth is survived by her beloved children, Dee Ann Korth, Tim Claiborne, and Jill Rerich and husband Vernon; Grandchildren, Kaylee Dunlap and Husband Colton, Nickolas Claiborne, Nicole Claiborne, Austin Howell, Connor Bell and wife Crystal, Courtney Bell, and Colton Bell; Great-grandchildren, Makensie, Mason, and Morgan Dunlap, and Justin and Grant Bell, her brother David Rohde and wife Nelda, her sister-in-law, Annie Mae Rohde, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marybeth is reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, JD Claiborne, her parents Alvin and Irene Rohde, and her brothers; Elton and Curtis Rohde.
During her lifetime, Marybeth embraced the simple joys of life and found contentment in the little things. Her genuine smile, warm heart, and caring nature lit up the room whenever she entered. She had a way of making everyone around her feel valued and appreciated, leaving a lasting imprint on the lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 3 PM to 5 PM at Marrs Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, TX. The service will take place on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 10 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Smithville, Texas, followed by a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, TX.
