Martha Ann (Duty) Parker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martha (Duty) Parker of Manor. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 2, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born in La Grange, Martha was a bright light in the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her kindness, sense of humor and her unwavering love for her family and friends.

Martha graduated from Smithville High School class of 1978. She worked as an Escrow Officer for Fidelity Title and Chicago Title for a total of 18 1/2 years in Austin. She found joy in music and was a gifted pianist and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Austin where she played piano and sang in the choir. She loved making people laugh and her smile was contagious.

She is survived by her mother Barbara Duty of Smithville, sister Vivian (Duty) Stroup and husband Ron of Lincoln, brothers Matthew and wife Lisa of Louisiana, Jesse Duty of Smithville, niece Jennifer Perry, nephews Mark Richardson and Grayson Duty and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Martha is preceded in death by her father Earl Duty and her daughter Vicki Curry.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A private, family service will be set at a later date. The family appreciates your understanding during this time.
