Loyd Daniel Hancock

Loyd Daniel Hancock “Danny”, age 64, of Smithville passed away peacefully at his home on October 17th 2023.

Danny was a man of his word, loyal, and had a big heart. Danny enjoyed gardening with his wife, and he was known for his front yard “honor system” produce stand. He was a hard worker, and took pride in providing. His faith in The Lord was a big part of his life, and was the foundation of his character.

Danny is survived by his wife Dorothy Hancock, children: Kenneth Hancock, Keri Skrapates, and Tracy Rangel, step-children: Deviro Yanis Jr., Matthew Yanis, and Miriam Rogers, his mother Jeannette Hancock , sister Loralee Hancock, and brother Buford Hancock. Plus many others including: nieces, nephews & grandchildren.

Danny will be missed, but always remembered.

Services to celebrate his life will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm and the service will begin at 6:00pm.

The funeral home is located at 110 American Legion Road.
