Faye June Roe was called home by her Heavenly Father on February 11, 2022. She spent her final days peacefully reminiscing of the past 96 years of her life on this earth.
Faye was born June 9, 1925 in Santa Barbara, California to Robert Jeffers and Mabel Ray. Many of her childhood years were spent in Santa Barbara, California and Coos Bay, Oregon. After graduating high school she worked as a mail girl in the San Pedro Naval Yard where she met her husband Edward M. Roe who was in the U.S. Navy. They married and moved around during his years in the service and had their six children. They settled in Fallbrook, California where most of their children were raised. Upon retirement they moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where she remained until her husband’s death. Alone, she then moved to Texas to be closer to her family. Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Faye was heavily involved in the Disabled American Veterans program, Tops Club, churches she attended and school activities of her children. Faye loved to read. She read through the entire library in Fallbrook, California to the point that they had to order books from a neighboring town for her to read. She was known for her divine divinity candy that melted in your mouth. Her nephew said her way of hugs and kisses over the phone, by letter or by Christmas card was “Consider yourselves all loved-up” and you could just imagine that big ‘ol hug and 27 kisses in a row on your cheeks. To know or be related to Faye was to know that you were loved beyond measure. She’d always say, “I love you dearly, dearly, dearly” when she said goodbye. Our Mom was one for the records as a mother who gave all to her children. She made our lives loved, fun and full of laughter and excitement.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mabel Jeffers, sister Thelma (Sissy) Crawford and brother Ray Jeffers, husband Edward, daughter Kathleen and son Kevin.
Left to cherish Faye June’s memory are her loving children, son Edward Roe and wife Shari, Karin Dehmer and husband Mike, Roy Roe and wife Cindy and Robin Willson and husband Sam, grandsons Justin Roe, Jonathan Willson and Jacob Willson, Christopher Berman, Rogue Berman, Buck Berman, granddaughters Shannon Brown, Michelle McWhorter, Rebecca Newton and Marlies Dehmer, Kandi Howell and Nicole Willson, 17 great grandchildren and cherished nieces, family and friends.
