Delores Karisch Burns, 88, of Smithville, TX was welcomed by God into His Kingdom on November 15, 2022.
Delores was born in Smithville, TX on February 4th, 1934. She was a graduate from Smithville High School then proceeded to receive an Associate Degree from Prairie View University.
She loved and cared dearly for her three boys, Steve, Jeff, and Cliff. Delores worked in the education system for 30+ years where she served as a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher for various grade levels. She was always found walking the track at the school and through town year-round and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends any chance she could get. Being “Grandy” was one of her greatest joys in life. Delores was also an active member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Smithville, TX.
Delores is survived by her son Jeff Burns and his wife Karla Burns, her daughter-in-law Marilyn Burns, 5 grandchildren, Clinton Burns with wife Cammy, Megan Hancock with husband Michael, Hillary Earp with husband Brec, Kayla Herschap with husband Brandon, and Kimmie Burns; 14 great grandchildren, Cannon, Brooks, Cason, Hallie, Tyson, Jackson, Ella, Jett, Coby, Josie, Rylan, Easton, Presley, and Kenna; her sister-in-law Kathy Karisch; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Smithville, TX.
Delores was greeted in heaven by her parents Willie P and Clara Karisch, brother Ernest Karisch, sister Virginia Fulmer, and sons Steve Burns and Cliff Burns.
