Carlos Arturo Aguilar

Carlos Arturo Aguilar was born in San Angelo, TX on August 25, 1989 to Abel and Shelley Aguilar.

Carlos grew up in San Angelo, graduated from Lakeview High School and earned welding certifications from Howard College, San Angelo, TX. He used his musical and welding skills throughout Texas, eventually settling in San Marcos where he used his talents on drums and percussion, as well as a sound technician. Carlos became well known in the music scene.

He loved golfing and enjoyed golfing with his father. He will be most remembered for his friendliness, wit, creativity, work ethic, love of community and willingness to help.

Carlos is survived by his parents Abel and Shelley Aguilar; sisters Mia and Anita Aguilar; brother Robert, wife Chesney Aguilar; brother in law Zach Gearheart; nieces and nephews Adele Aguilar (Mia), Adrian, Aubree and Andres Aguilar (Robert and Chesney); grandmother, Lita-Florinda Aguilar.

Carlos is preceded in death by grandfather Arturo Aguilar, grandmother Lorene Johnson.

Family and friends will gather at 9:00am and the Rosary will begin at 9:30am on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, Texas. The Funeral Liturgy for Carlos will begin at 10:00am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne with food and fellowship following at the Parish Hall.
