Arthur R. Martinez, 79, passed away April 29, 2026. He was born September 5, 1946 in Napolean, Ohio to Maryann and Pete Martinez. He married Maria Rosa Almarza December 30,1967, at St. James Catholic Church in Gonzales.
Arthur is survived by his wife Maria Rosa Martinez; his sons Robert W. Martinez (Paula) and Arthur R. Martinez, Jr. (Katy); grand children Jaxen Paul Martinez, Cordelia Jane Martinez, Charles Crew Martinez and Colette Rose Martinez and Brother Danny Vargas.
He was preceded in death by his son Paul Andrew Martinez, father Pete Martinez, mother Maryann Santa Cruz, sister Linda Martinez and brother Sammy Ramirez.
Services for Rudy will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at St Patrick Catholic Church in Waelder, Texas.
The visitation will begin at 1:00pm with the Rosary starting at 1:30pm. The funeral mass will begin at 2:00pm and burial will follow at the Waelder Cemetery.
