Archie David Call was born to Ida and Ira Call on March 5, 1934, in Lowe, KS. Archie had a brother, Robert, who is deceased. He is survived by three sisters: Betty Holmberg of Camey, KS; Iva Schultz, Shawnee, OK; and Ella Pace of Bartlettsville, OK.

Archie married Evelyn Woolf, the mother of Anna Carter (deceased); Lisa Higgins, Elkhart, KS; David Call (Sandy), Smithville, TX; Raymah Davis, Smithville, TX; John Call (Debra) LaGrange, TX; and Emma Adams (Kip), Smithville, TX.

After Evelyn's death, Archie married Joyce Bradshaw Call. He is survived by her children: Buddy McGinn (Ramona), Navasota, TX; Debbie Clepper (Larry), Smithville, TX; Elbert McGinn (Maria), Katy, TX; and Quint McGinn (deceased). Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also are survivors.

Archie served three years in the United States Marine Corps and was discharged as a Sergeant. He retired from Phillips Petroleum after more than thirty years of service at the age of 52. He enjoyed fishing and travelling and was an ace card player.

He passed away at his home on Jones Street in Smithville on December 16, 2017.

Serving as pall bearers are Matthew Higgins, Noah Davis, Michael Carter, Zach Carter, Brandon Call, Bradley Call, Michael Lawhon and Mikie Lawhon.
