Aniseto Garcia

Anesito Trejo "Chester" Garcia, age 91 of Smithville, Texas passed from this life in Austin, Texas on Monday, December 3, 2018. Chester was born April 17, 1927 in Smithville to Eulalio and Augustina "Trejo" Garcia. Chester married Tillie Corona on September 9, 1960 in Smithville.

Chester worked at the Pecan Grove in Alum Creek grafting and caring for the trees. He later worked and retired from MarHill Manufacturing Company. After retiring, he started his own lawn and tree care business.

Chester was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Smithville where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Chester had a great love for Italian food.

He was preceded in death by: his wife of 53 years, Tillie Garcia; 2 brothers, Timothy Garcia and Reyes Garcia; 2 sisters, Adella Espinosa and Barbara Salas.

Chester is survived by: 2 sons, Thomas Garcia and Arthur Garcia; a daughter and her husband, Angela and John Hammons; a granddaughter, Amber Lynn Davis; a sister, Victoria Ruiz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the doctors, the church family, and everyone who gave a helping hand and/or prayers during this time.
