Andrea Christina Vasquez, 50, of Smithville, Tx passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on September 24, 2025 in Houston after a valiant battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband Guffie Robinson, daughter Monica Robinson, and parents Robert and Estela Vasquez, all of Smithville. She was preceded in death by her older sister Anna Maria Vasquez of Manor, Tx.
Andrea brought into our world the rare combinations of high energy yet contemplative caution, exceptional talent in the performing arts, and a lifelong aptitude for science and learning. She was loving, loyal, forgiving, and accommodating to all whom she knew, her vast extended family and best friends being one and the same. She sought to have fun with others whenever possible. She possessed a sense of empathy that reached further than anyone, a rare gift that allowed for her to be the guardian, playmate, peacemaker and caregiver to any and all children and animals she knew. Wherever she lived and worked, animals were around her, and children were captivated by her. They were drawn to her and she to them. Above all Andrea had a sensitive heart that would both weep and cry for joy or for sorrow, and lead those around her to a better understanding of what was truly important. Love and the healing act of forgiveness were her foundation, and among her many gifts to us all.
