Amelia Soto went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in El Salvador, Amelia later made the courageous journey to the United States, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion to those she loved. She was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and nurturing her family.
Amelia found joy and peace in tending to her plants and working in her garden. Gardening was more than a hobby to her—it was a passion and a way she expressed love and patience. Each year, she eagerly looked forward to late winter and the beginning of spring, when she and her husband would prepare their garden together. These moments reflected the partnership and love they shared, and the care she poured into everything she did.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Catalino Soto; her son; her numerous stepchildren; numerous grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother. Amelia’s love for her family knew no limits, and she cherished the time spent with each of them. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched many lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Amelia will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her father, and one brother.
Services will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home. The visitation will start at 5:00pm and the Vigil and Rosay will begin at 6:00pm.
