Herman “Alvin” Burnett
Herman Alvin Burnett was born October 14, 1937 in Reeves, Louisiana and went to the Lord November 27, 2020 in Bastrop Texas.
Alvin was raised in New Mexico, began working at 14 and began his military service at 20. He married Frances in 1957, formed Burnett Masonry following his military service and worked his craft in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico.
He is survived by his wife Frances; children-James, Cathy, Ken, Leanna, Marvin; grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Walter and wife Emily, brother Boyd and wife Jeannie, sister-in-law Pam; his nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Herman “Smiley”, mother Faris, Stepmother Alta, brother Jack and daughter Nancy.
He loved the Lord and The Cowboy Church of Smithville.
Psalms 118:24----“This is the day the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
